Writing part 2

1 vertical Velcro.

This activity is like the vertical bungee but instead of trying to grab a can of soda, you are wearing a special Velcro suit and there is a wall of Velcro and you have to try to run up and stick to it without being pulled back by the bungee.

2. Cricket target.

This activity is a bit like cricket ball throw at the athletics but instead of trying to throw it as far as you can, you are trying to hit a target on the ground on the first bounce. You can use a cricket ball of a nerf ball.

3. High jump hurdles.

This activity is basicly high jump crossed with hurdles. It is a race but instead of hurdles it is a high jump mat and so you jump it then go to the next mat. The first to cross the finish line wins.

4. Dive comp.

This activity is where you stand at one end of the pool and dive in and swim as far as you can without taking a breath. In the pool there will be obsticals for you to dodge and if you hit one it will take 10 cm of the final distance swum without taking a breath.

5. Hands stuck.

This game is mostly like stuck in the mud but when you get tug you have to crouch down with your hands on the ground. When someone comes to rescue you they have to leap from over you and the game continues until are runners are tagged and stuck to the ground

Mountain Biking At Redwood forest

Mountain Biking At Redwoods

Finally Alex, Ali and I arrived at Redwood forest. We were here to have a little fun mountain biking.

We got our bikes off the holder and rode over to the map. We decided on the tracks that we would be taking and we sat down and had a snack. We then got started and sped down the track.

Soon we reached Mine and Alex's favorite track, " THE DIPPER" This track has loads of jumps and holes and dips in the track. Therefore getting its name.

Alex and I sped down the track jumping over the holes and drifting around the corners or gliding around on the burns. Soon our fun was over so we moved on to another track.

Once we reached the top of the hill we had some lunch and water and found the track" THE DRAGONS TAIL" and "B RUDE NOT 2". we sat down and decided on what track we would take, soon after a little bit of an argument we decided on ' THE DRAGONS TAIL" This track is a level 4 track for experienced riders.

Before we knew it we were speeding down the track at 100 miles per hour, chasing each other until I herd a yelp and saw Alex fall off the track. I skidded to a stop where Alex fell of and looked over the edge and looked over the side. Alex was on hid back in a bush with the bike in top of him.
"Ouch" he said as he struggled to get up.
I jumped down and help him up and lifted his bike back up the 2 metre cliff.
"That looked like it hurt" I said trying not to smirk
"Kind of" Alex said starting to burst into laughter.

Suddenly we both burst in laughter and couldn't stop. We kept  going down the track, still not  able to stop laughing and finally reached the car park.

Sore hands, burning legs but it was really fun day. I can't wait to do it again!!

Kawau Island Camp

My feelings about going to Kawau Island.

I am really looking forward to camp at Kawau Island next week. I am looking forward to the sailing, kayaking and fishing the most,  probably because I like water sports.
The one thing I am not looking forward to is the drive up there and back. This is a three hour drive to Sandspit, which is just out of Warkworth, and then a 25-30 minute ride on the Kawau Kat ferry to the Island.
From then on camp will be FUN!

My Holidays

Hello Room 6. This is my holiday story.

During the New Year my Dad and I went to Whangamata. This is a beach about a 2 hour drive from Cambridge but it is worth the drive. We have a bach that is about 200 metres from the beach so we walk there. When it is low tide you are able to walk to Clarke Island but we didn't.
On the last day there was motor-boat racing and that was cool. We then packed up and cleaned the house and left.We stopped at Paeroa and I got a milk shake and a K Bar.
