We were based in Macarthur Sydney; we travelled to Liverpool for a club day but stayed in Macarthur. The final day was on the second of June, the day before we got home. This was a tragic day for the New Zealand ‘Mighty 11’ team.

After the final race we were worried and wondering what was going to happen. Had we won? Had we lost?

The teams thinking was driving the parents mad and crazy.

Finally, after the 30-minute wait we got told to walk up to the ramp. It was a debating mind game. We were going crazy! We were losing it. What was happening? It was the team thinking to hard, over thinking more like it.

Then the results were announced, No!!! We lost! It was a disappointing moment. We worked so hard. What had just been announced?

So it was a tragic day but we did our best and we didn’t give up, and we all worked as a team.

It was a great trip and I would do it again.
